We converted the old gazebo into our chicken coop.

We covered the pool table with a tarp and wood shavings to let them get higher if they want. I'm working on getting a roost area and a better base for the buckets.

I have buckets as nesting boxes...

Really nice and big. I would suggest you put up some hardware cloth rather then chicken wire though.

Chicken wire doesn't stop most preditors from going in from underneath or in through the side.

If you can't do the hardware cloth, maybe run a hot wire on a timer to come on at dusk and off at dawn so your little one doesn't touch it during the day.

Good luck with your chickens. They are so much fun and the fresh eggs are wonderful.
