I'm so excited to finally be able to post a pic of our coop!!! My husband did most of the work out of found materials - the total cost was under $100!!! I am going to add some decorative elements but other than that it is good to go!!

Thank's for all of the coop love!!!

Bryan99705- I hadn't thought about an outside roost, but I will look into it!!

How big is the coop and the total footprint and how many chickens are you going to have in there? I'm just curious because I like the design and I'm thinking of building something a little more permanent. I am using a chicken tractor now for three birds, but I don't plan on going over 5 or 6 total.

The footprint is 4x8 feet - we have three chickens. I imagine it would be plenty of space for 5 or 6, but I'm not 100%!! My husband built it to specifically fit in a truck bed so that we can move it if needed.

The coop is about 2.5 x 4 x 4 feet.

Very nice coop and run! I like how the coop is high enough that it will be easy to clean under it.

I have discovered for me-that is a very important feature!

Thank you very much. It looks like a fairly simple design, but it also looks nice. I have those opposing forces of doing something cheap on one hand and make something that looks really nice on the other hand. So how tall is the entire thing or was the height measurement for the coop the overall height measurement?
