We built our coop 5' x 8'. We had some chickens this
summer and found out to show in 4-H we needed chickens hatched after Jan 1st. So we sold what we had and I added the roost off the side of the original coop. This will give the more room in the main coop. Were planning on getting some chicks the 1st of Feb. I used an old plastic mailbox for a grit box.
