Our diy hobbit house chicken coop

What a "fantastical" coop, I love it! It seems to blend so well with the rest of landscape!
Thank you! We worked hard to cost it in moss and some wildflowers and a garden. We gatherd the moss and the super tall wildflowers from the woods working hard to cut our moss and the dirt was from the leveling of the ground(it was on a hill and the dustbath is a terrace)

Very cool. One modification I would make is wider roosts. They will roost on whatever size is available but a wider roost enables them to cover their feet in the cold winter months. And speaking of cold winter, those drinking cups are going to freeze.

Something I have found since I started in chickens in 2012 is that they like to roost as high as they can get. You might do well to move the nest boxes into the space where the roost area is now and build more and higher roosts in the larger area.

I love it it looks like a hobbit home :)
