Our dog lost her puppies last night

It's good to hear that she is better. They did put her on antibiotics, yes? Sometimes something as simple as canine herpes can cause them to loose a litter. That would be more common than brucellosis, at least in this area, but I have read that it is becomming more of a problem in some areas. There was a big brucellosis outbreak in WI a few years back.

The vet hasn't done anything other than take a blood test on her and the male, and sent off the puppy. He doesn't want to give them antibiotics until he knows for sure that they need them, and what kind they need.

Poor thing! How is she today??

She's actually pretty good. She's sore and she's not her usual obnoxious self, but she is much better than yesterday. She wants to go to work with DH again, she can in a couple of days. She's quite the handful when she's well, very rambunctious! She's been that way from day one, she was tiny when we got her but she walked right in like she owned the place!

This is her at 8 weeks, harassing Penny the Bloodhound:

With Ruger, he's wondering when she's leaving!

We haven't had the results back yet, the lab sent them to TX A&M but we don't know why. She's not doing so well today, she has mastitis

No none at all. He said the lab that processed the blood had sent the puppy away somewhere else, but didn't think they'd get anything from it. I'm wondering if that means they didn't get anything from the blood test, otherwise it wouldn't seem to make much sense to send the puppy away if they already knew why Maggie miscarried.

Her mastitis cleared up though, and she seems much better again.

She's a Black Mouth Cur.
