One of the babies got its right eye pecked out

If it lives, how should i treat the eye?

Upon closer examination and a bit of a clean up, it's not the eye but a flesh wound under both. I haven't seen it open it's eyes yet though.

Maybe I'm just cold, but these animals need to have 2 eyes. Any abnormality and the rest of the flock will peck them. Nor will they be able to watch out for danger. Perhaps someone here has stories about a one-eyed or fully blind chicken that does great. But in my experience, anything that drags the animal down to less than 100% will make it weaker and more susceptible to attacks & illness.

I am sorry about your little chicky. I hope it recovers with full sight so you don't have to consider the alternative.

The first baby didn't make it BUT we can hear another egg peeping and this time it'll be safe from all the other hens.
