"Ethel" has been broody since sometime in later March. We finally separated her and set eggs under her the beginning of April. Yesterday should have been the big day, and I found an empty egg shell pushed out. I didn't want to disturb her or the hatchlings, though. Today I was rewarded by seeing a little peep poking out from under her! It looks like she has 6 chicks out of 7 eggs.
She did a great job and I'm so happy she was finally rewarded with those adorable chicks! How fun! We're looking forward to watching them with mama!
