Our First Chicken House - picture heavy *Update Pics Pg.4*

What a great place! It looks so secure - just wondering if you're going to close all three openings into the run every night, or figuring to leave them open in good weather?

BTW, you have wonderful views, and we'd like to borrow your son-in-law.

Beautiful! So...ummm...when can I move in and how much is rent? So you require first and last months plus a deposit?

I thought I posted the pics of the droppings table and roosts complete but didn't so here they are. We oiled the roosts with used motor oil today and now they can dry for a few weeks before the 3 day old chicks will ever need them. I still plan to do the same to the nesting boxes. I will add some more final pics tomorrow. I still need to paint but the general idea is there! I am so excited about this whole adventure.

What?? No big screen tv for the chicks???? LOLOLOL I better not suggest...............You guys did a great job.......!!! Paul

Thanks to you all! I have seen much fancier chicken coops on here but for our first one, I could not be happier!

How do I keep track of this thread so I can easily add more pics? I have read for over a year but have rarely posted so I am still new to the ins and outs of how it all works.

Thanks~ Heather

What an excellent coop! Looks beautiful! I was wondering though, why do you oil the roosts and nexting boxes?
