I knew the first egg was going to be small but....this is REALLY SMALL. Nothing like what I was expecting!

I haven't cracked it open yet- I am tempted though. All my new girls are 18 weeks old so it wouldn't be absurd for one of them to have laid. I have buff orpingtons, columbian wyandottes, and easter eggers that age. Otherwise I have 14 week old cuckoo marans, blue andalusians, and welsummers.

Well it's very nice to start getting them at that age. I had a hen that didn't lay til 8 months... what are your blue andalusians like? I think they're pretty but don't know about temperament, etc.
 
My Blue's are a little flighty but they are good foragers. I also think they are quite beautiful. I would definitely recommend them.
