I'm so bummed! Our gold sex link Honey has been squatting for a week so I've been watching her like a hawk. Took the kids to the grocery store this morning and heard Honey squawking as soon as we got back. I ran outside just as she was leaving the coop and low and behold, there's a broken egg on top of the nesting box, with egg smeared all over the place! Argh! She's been sitting in the box all week so I have no idea why she decided to lay on top of it. I'm going to have to put a slanted board on top or something so they can't sit up there. Hopefully we'll have better luck tomorrow!
