Our First Egg!!

I plan to scramble it! My husband wants to try and drain it to preserve it, but we will see. And we will get oyster shells asap! Thank you all. Will she be laying consistently now?

Congrats!!! We found what we thought was our first egg (from our Jumbo Pekin girl) this morning in their enclosure... I couldn't believe it, it was so exciting! I saw my boyfriend lean over to pick up something white and I thought one of his rogue golf balls had found it's way in there somehow, lol. Turns out, that one is actually her second; just a few minutes later, we were raking out the hay we keep in the spot alongside our house that they all like to nap in, and lo and behold, there was an egg she must have laid yesterday. We tossed that one, but the one from this morning is in our fridge... I'd like to drain and preserve it

Hello all, congrats on your first egg awhile ago. I was that way when my white Pekin girl layed the first egg for me. (She had already been laying at the feedstore). I feed my ducks chicken feed mixed with lay pellets and get an egg every day to every other day. I hope you gets lots of eggs from your girl!
