Our first egg

I just wanted to let Justusnak and everyone else know that one of the 4 rescues I got from her on Sunday laid an egg. Our first egg in fact. It's smaller than the size of a quarter. Our other hens have yet to lay eggs!

I was so happy when I found it....it was right in the middle of the coop on the floor! Not like I have a dozen nest boxes for them to sit in or anything...But I was so happy that I went running from the coop to the house to get my phone and call my DH who was at Tractor Supply at the time.
