Congrats on your first egg! We're eagerly awaiting the arrival of ours!

That's so exciting! We are (not so patiently) waiting for our first egg, too! Our little silkie crosses and our coturnix quail seem to be growing so slowly.

but...we decided to cheat a little bit. My husband is picking up 5 laying hens (EEs) this afternoon with their own chicken tractor. So we should have eggs as soon as they settle in.

Ok, so Omlette has stopped laying.

It may be that she's stressed from the heat, or she's decided not to share them. I dunno. We'll see if she becomes a "More than 3-eggOmlette" or if she was just teasing us.
