Our first eggs!!!!

Fluffy and Snowball have been squatting for me about a week now, I’ve been sooooo impatient. Really wasn’t expecting it so soon because they’re WJG 21ish weeks and here we are!!! They laid them the same day, so cool! Now to get them to use the nest boxes, I am not too fussed about it yet though. Will the eggs be ok going on the counter from freezing weather outside to 68° inside?

Congratulations! The eggs are fine to go right on the counter as long as you don't wash them. They will stay good for a few weeks at room temp.

I have a question, I have a few new hens to my flock and two I believe are laying, with that being said do you think these are from two different ones or the same?

These are my first chickens, so I’m not a pro… But personally, I’d assume those would be from two different hens. They generally lay the same colour for life, but certain conditions can cause changes (like Marans, new layers, etc)

One is a cuckoo maran which leads me to believe the darker one is hers but it is so small
