Our first hatch!

I just wanted to brag about our first hatch....

we started with 19 eggs, and 2 'duck' eggs, on April 1st. About day 12 or so, we had one egg that was bad, so it got tossed....

Imagine our surprise yesterday, when 21 chicks hatched out!!

Seems our 'ducks' were not really ducks! And, somehow... we had ONE more egg than we thought!!

So.... all 21 eggs that were in there as of day 18, hatched out.

One needed some help, as the membrane stuck to him. Only thing I can figure, is it was a really early pip, and he just took too long.

This gives me great hope! I've read so many mixed reviews about the LG. I'm on day 3 of my first incubation. I'm really stoked now!

BTW I just looked at ur pictures from your hatch. Very cool! What do u have in the bottom of your brooder? Its hard to tell from my blackberry.
