Our first hatched chick - Polish Silkie cross

Just hatched our very first chick from our Polish rooster and Silkie hen. Here are dad, mom and baby so excited!

Definitely will! We are in love with the color. We had 1 black chick also hatch and have 4 others still hatching!

We have had some beautiful silkie cochin crosses this year! Silkie roo and cochin hens. Since the silkie roo was white, all the unique colours of the Cochins came out in crazy beautiful ways. For example, we had a silver-laced cochin hen that resulted in a beautiful silver-laced cross. And our partridge cochin hen produced a cross that looks like a frosted partridge (white instead of brown but with the same partridge colour patterning and cute little black hearts around her neck).
