Our first little miracle!

Today we came home and found this little darling!

We know either mom or dad is a turken, not sure who the other parent is. lol
I brought the little one inside since "mom" was not watching it very well.
It is very lonely though.

I put in something for it to cuddle with but is happiest when we are holding him. I also put the brooder box next to my month old game chicks so they can hear each other.

Sweet little face, but they freak me out. The whole no feathers on the neck and crop thing are really not my cup of tea, though I will wait and see if they grow on me. (I have two baby Turkens hatched out by our broody.) Cute little guy.

With the chipmunk stripe and knowing it is part turken I think the other parent is one of my faverolle mixes.
I am not much of a lover of the Turken either but my eldest is. I have one Turken Roo (white) and one hen (buff) just for her. They free range with all my other birds. Hence not knowing who the parents are. lol
They certainly do grow on you.

But they still aren't my favorite.
Spring is going to be a lot of fun with babies all over the yard. I'll have it better set up by then so that they can stay outside with mom, as long as mom is doing her job.
