I posted this picture of our first oversized RIR egg on the First Egg post. The egg is the second from the left, dated 9/10...

Well, today as I was fixing eggs for my wife and daughters, I finally cracked it open! And much to my surprise:

I know, I know, I broke one yolk....but I was shocked. Maybe double yolkers are more common for first eggs for others but I really wasn't expecting it....

Very cool! Thanks for sharing the pictures. What was for breakfast?

I'm still waiting for a first egg from my 12 girls. Hopefully next month.

Congratulations! I don't exactly know why, but double yolkers are always so much fun to find.

Oh, and by the way...thanks for spelling yolk correctly - it drives me nuts when it's spelled "yoke". I know, I'm a brat....

ummmmm....so I know how old they are?

I guess I'm pretty picky (hey I didn't say picky!) but I like knowing that I'm using the oldest ones first...
