Wow that egg song sounds like an emergency alert for predators, we were called out to the front porch repeatedly we thought, but didn't see any hawks in the area. Here it is from my Sumatra she didn't stay to brood it.

It was the same for us yes we remember Groucho and he was the inspiration for this photo. I chose not to add discarded feather eyebrows and the mustach, but thank you for noticing!

Yes it is an odd color. It looks purely off white unless there is a bit of shade then it shows that pinkish coloration.
