We have some due December 24th and really excited with it being our first birth of goats on our farm.
I'm nervous as all get out. I would just moniter their weight gain as suggested. The more milk they take from her the more she makes. If your concerned with one or two not getting a chance to nurse, milk mom and bottle feed them. She should be able to supply enough for all her babies though.Good luck and ya got a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L bunch!! Good job to mom!
Good lordy how cute is that. I dont know about the numbers, tho. I know if a mare is unfortunate enough to have twins, and they are both viable, its pretty standard to get them drinking Foal-Lac out of a bucket pretty darn quickly. Mares just arent made to nurse 2 foals. And I can't imagine that a goat is supposed to nurse 4 babies. Might think about supplementation as quickly as you can.
