They are laying at a trickle........not enough to comprise an order........... These birds are so sweet and social.....every time I go in the pen they are all over me....in a friendly way.... We have had this breed for several years and have been very pleased with them..They lay well and don't eat an incredible amount..............but I cannot say in that time we have hatched a "show bird"......... but they are lovely birds none the less~
I do know a breeder that has New Hampshire Red show birds..... I can find his contact info for you if you are interested in show potential.....just pm me........obviously the eggs you hatch will not be guaranteed show quality but the odds will be in your favor~

I am not after show birds per say just not hatchery birds. They would ultimately be eye candy in my laying flock. I will check back with you in the spring to order some.

Thanks so much and your site is beautiful.

The site is pretty, however for those of us on dial up, the load time is painfull at best. It took over 30 mins for your pages (each page) to load. That means anyone on dial up probably will not stick around long enough to allow the pages to load, thus won't be making an order.

BTW y'all, I can attest, her wrapping/packaging was pretty secure. She uses copious amounts of newspaper and tape.

Also, if memory serves me right, she shipped very quickly.

Yes, understandably so..........that is painfully slow for dial-up users....

I am working on condensing some things to speed things up a bit....... I would not have the patience to wait 30 minutes per page either...... or the time for that matter~.......Thank you for your input and I apologize for the frustration...hopefully that will improve shortly.....

I don't know what program if any you are using for publishing, but FP has a thing you can reduce the file size while not reducing the file.. if that makes any sence.. Like you can have a 800 pixel photo, but reduce its file size to a faster loading speed. PSP also has this capability. Just a thought unless you have alredy done that?

sorry,
if anyone was paying attention i posted then removed it, now it's back

if you change the AgedBg.png to a jpg saved at 50% it will reduce that image in size 93% to about 50kb instead of the whopping 756kb that it currently is saving more than a few minutes for dial-up.

the only way to reduce the larger navigation / banner image is to save them as jpegs too, the problem is that you lose the alpha transparency. you could slice off the navigation links and keep the alpha transparency there and then put the rest of the banner image as jpeg, but i don't think you'll be able to maintain the nice floating over the background effect that it currently has, but it can be done i think. this is kind of unfortunate as the site is so very nice looking as it is.

the index page weighs in at about 1.5mb and iirc, that can be about 10 minutes on dial up.

pm me if you want any help
