Our hens are our worst predators!!

The coop and run are holding up well keeping predators from getting in - but those darned henleys are doing their best to dig their way out!!! I never thought I would need to extend my chicken wire on the inside of the run!

Oh, yes - I have logs all the way around the inside of my pen, so the little darlings won't dig out. When they were small, they could wiggle out through anything - I remember my husband puffing "Five hundred dollars worth of wire, and it won't hold a chicken!" while we chased them.

And the chicken wire inside the dogwire is there so they won't stick their silly heads all the way out and get them bitten off by something!
