the fan that we have is actually an electrical one (120v ac fan) that is actually wired together with the light bulb and the thermostat. It also eliminates the dc power supply from the computer that actually if inside of the bator is a heat source in itself that you are unable to turn off and on. We all need to share our information! We believe that's the way you learn sinse alot of our teachers are limited in their training and teaching practices... no offence to teachers who are on here! I just feel todays youths suffer especially in our area.

Good Luck Daycare mom!!! I believe you would be happy with it! I believe you will be less stressed if you do put this in and try it.

Speckledhen - Yes they do work very well!!! Thank you so much for your help on everything!!!!!!!!

I do love the way DH set up my "turner", it works like a dream, I tilt each day twice a day, once in morning before I go to work and once before I go to bed.

Update on my hatch, I put 20 in, had to pull 3 non fertile or did not develope past a certain point, which now leaves me 17, came home to 10 of them pipped!!!! C'mon chickies... you can do it!!!

I'm still confused on the turner...how exactly is the egg carton connected to the pvc? Sorry, I haven't had much sleep lately, and my brain's not working very well. I've got chicken fever and have been staying on this website tooooooo late into the night!

You sound like me!! I have been staying up till probably 1 am at least since I found this site! I wonder if there's a 12 step program for chicken addicts?

Thanks for the explanation for why the thermostat doesn't work right. I was stressed because I couldn't keep the temps stable in my homemade bator--they were everywhere, like you said. I might just have to try this again next spring (because my LG and HB obviously won't be enough, lol). What cutie pies you've got there!
