Florus was a ninja rapist for a bit. He's lucky he was just going through a phase, but he came so close, but he never drew blood, but boy was he a real... Anyway, they just gotta get through the hormone phase. Well, so do you. Its easier to decide when you don't have breeding plans. He has turned into quite the gentleman though. He was also about 9 month old when he MATURED. Lol

I found " space " to be the equalizer. King Henry has 4 hens and so long as the girls had plenty of space to escape him things settled down. For a few weeks there , they would come into the garden and poor old Henry would have a lot of " leg work " to do just to cover the 4 of them. I bought Henry in to replace " King Charles " who died rather suddenly. At first it really didn't look like the girls were going to have a bar of him, but things have worked out. There is hope for your OE yet!

This is him " lurking " , he's not keen to come into the garden and the girls have used that to their full advantage. Loki at them laughing at him.

Well, I'm hoping that by the time my poor gal has healed that he will have calmed down some. He's really acting like a teenager...doesn't call anyone when he gets treats...just gobbles them down himself. Perhaps she insulted him or something which is why she got his wrath

My young roos benefit from having the old roos standing guard. If either of the two old boys hear the slightest distress squawks from a hen they come running with their wings clapping and the young ones run for cover.

Well maybe it's the hens that benefit - the young roos are just learning to not make hens squawk
