I think a cutesy name like "Satan" might speed up the process...I am trying to give it away on Facebook and people were asking if it was friendly. I think the "I'm trapped in a cage and don't like it" look is a hard sell lol.
SInce I gave it some attention though it has gotten attached.
Phew, talk about lucky chain of events. Yesterday, after talking about it for weeks, I finally lent the neighbor our spray collar meant for training dogs. Fastforward to today, I noticed that the Alhos had once again gone over the fence over to our other neighbors unfenced yard, so I went to shoo them back to our side. At the same time, the first neighbor was returning from the forest, with the dogs loose. They of course spotted our birdies, and charged. Luckily she was just testing the spray collar, so she gave the big one (a 35kg 6m/o Leonberg) a little spritz, and she wen't running to mommy with her tail between her legs. I managed to move with what seemed like something out of the Matrix speed to first close the gate from keeping them from getting to the rest of the flock, and then to block the smaller dog with a well placed soccer tackle move. Two Alho's immediately flew back to the yard, but the third one kept running into the fence. I then, still moving in "bullet time", managed to grab a hold of the smaller dog while the last Alho made a jump up on the fence, and everyone escaped the situation unscathed. In other words, we've had an eventful day.
Nah, I like my girls flighty. The neighbors have been a way for a while, but they're returning in a few days so the girls should stay away from their yard then. And with the ability to fly, they stand a better chance escaping when needed. Also, they fit through the netting still, so it wouldn't help.Lucky! Saved by the collar . Sounds like you need to do some serious wing clipping.
