Our introduction to keeping chickens, the high's, the lows and pics of our journey.

And no where enough of 'far off lands'
just saying

I thought I was quite an active poster of pictures from a far off land - although our climate might not be what many would describe as exotic

But I'll grab some nature shots next time we're somewhere a bit further than our back yard.

Here's a Finnish sunset in December at 2:30 PM.

And same spot a month later.

Apparently I like this tree, since I've taken the exact same photo of it twice.

It would have been nice to see a 12 shot set of pic's like the two above!
Thanks for the 2.

Scott
I agree with you, Scott. Lovely photo, Vehve.

Do you have the larger or the smaller one? I was thinking of just going with the smaller one. Our egg production (or consumption) probably won't go over the capabilities of that rack, if we get more, we can just give them to the neighbors.
Pretty sure Alicia got us the large as we don't have any Banties.

It's a very nice tree. Next time I have my phone with me on a run I will get some scenic shots for you Scott.

Scott, I did find you some shots I took the summer of 2011 at our cottage. Here are some swans in flight. This year this couple showed up with three babies earlier in the summer, but according to my mother, they haven't seen the chicks since early June. The cold summer has taken it's toll. The previous year they managed to raise 4 though, or at least they were still alive at the end of summer.
