Very pretty chick Nova!

Oz, I am sure you will get there with the BA's. They look real nice. Also interestingly, at one point they held the world layer record. Not sure if it still stands though, was a long time ago and using natural methods.

In the old folks home thread a discussion took place on potty training kids. The use of "here are some pretty big girl panties for you once you can use the potty" was brought up.

Maybe your girls can be persuaded by you admiring your breakfast eggs in front of them....

21 weeks old.... NOT A SINGLE EGG WAS GIVEN!

I have not ate any more birds.....but I am having evil non egg delivery thoughts hahahaha I actually wondered what it would cost to xray a chicken to see if she has one forming lol.

On a serious note, all is well at the Chick-Inn. Fodder has been going well, cycling four drums, they get a batch every second day. Poo drum has worked great, got our first batch of stinky brown liquid fertaliser on Sunday. Diluted it down and watered some plants. Solid barrel is still not full.

Everyone appears happy and healthy, just not laying. Luna and Rosie are both at 'two fingers width' at the pelvis, the two LS are not much wider than one. The two LS and RIR are all getting redder ears and have noticed their wattles are bigger, but still pink.

Sigh....more waiting.

It just HAS to be any day now.

I posted in the 'dumb things people say' thread. I wrote something along the lines of "I said something really dumb, that bird will give us an egg any day now....still waiting three weeks later" lol

Rosie is catching Luna too, hopefully won't be too long before we get two eggs, just have to break the drought first.

Hard to believe that after all we have been through, we have only got about 2 or three dozen eggs...ever, one at a time lol Two in one day is going to be AMAZING!

lol, it wont be that long till you are getting six a day

we set 60 of our own eggs in the past 10 days. its a great feeling

After coming home another day with nothing but barren emptyness in our nest boxes....I might just try it. Has to be done naked with extra baby oil right?

Just as an added precaution, I will also do my own rendition of an egg song with an occasional squat thrown in for good measure.
