Hello all, I'm new to the site and just checking things out. I love to show off my feathered friends though!
we have a flock of 6, 4 1/2 month old chickens: 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Black Sex Links, 1 Delaware and 1 White Star Hybrid
Our Rhodys go by Red and Blondie. When they were chicks, Blondie was much lighter than Red, but now Blondie is a lot darker than Red. Blondie follows me around the yard all day, and loves to be pet.
We call our Sex Links the Twins, or bezelbub 1&2, on account of how ornery they are. They constantly try and grab your fingers or peck at you when you aren't paying attention. But they are so beautiful I really enjoy them.
When we first got our chicks, we were told that the white chicks we bought were White Sex Links. Now that they are grown, it's easy to tell that they aren't they same type of chicken. We discovered that Moldy was a Delaware, explaining how big she was compared to the other, and Lil Bit is a White Star Hybrid, explaining why she is so tiny. But Lil Bit has the prettiest long tail feathers! She is extremely noisy though.
I added some photos of when they were younger too, really enjoyed raising these ladies up, can't wait for the eggs!
