Our Maine Duck House

Ok, this is idea came from @onaharley.

It just slides in from the top and goes in and out easily. The barn wall isn't square so it doesn't fit exactly which I didn't take into account while building the divider. Not perfect but it serves the purpose.

Just a quick update on our Maine Duck House. We recently began switching over from Zmodo cameras to Wyze cameras. We made this move (after several years quite happy with Zmodo) as the new 1080 Pro Zmodos will simply not stay connected, and the customer support at Zmodo is sadly non-existent. We installed one Wyze pan cam in the run and one regular camera in the duckhouse, and they have been working flawlessly in temps down to 2F. Our run is covered, but I am still a little worried that they are not outdoor cameras. We'll see.

We also recently added a Sweeter Heater to the run, and we are VERY pleased with it. If you are considering adding any external heat for whatever reason, do check Sweeter Heater out.

We also finally installed lights in the run and duckhouse. I suspect these will only ever be using in an emergency, but it's good to have them.

Unfortunately we have still not resolved our water issue, and, as such, we are carrying buckets from the house 2x/day. I started to dig a four-foot trench to bury a water line this fall, but about 60' in, I hit water, and it immediately flooded to a depth of over 2 feet. I was working alone and only had one pump. The edges starting caving in, and I finally admitted defeat and closed the trench up. :-(

Of course the most important news is that our ducks are doing great!
