I drove the awsome Galaxie in the Mizzou Homecoming Parade last weekend and my passengers were the Mayor of Columbia and his wife. Columbia has been debating the chicken ordanance for some time so that was a topic of conversation during the parade. His Honor is in favor of allowing chickens to be raised in the city with certain limits. According to the paper, roosters seem to be the major issue. The questions of how many, what kind of coop, free range etc. are also issues. I told him all about BYC and sent him a link so maybe he will come here to learn the benefits of allowing the residents to raise chickens.
