Our "new" barn and coop!!

Thank you for sharing your story and pictures. This was very heartwarming to read! You did an awesome job and I am sure you are very proud of your work and your daughter. A great big THANK YOU to your daughter for her service, and best of wishes to her and your family!

I love this! You've done an amazing job.

Again, thanks so much for your kind thoughts and comments. I'll send this link to Robin via email so she can read them for herself!

I have a question for you...in the photos of the "new" barn, would you paint the "header" boards and rafter board white or barn red? I haven't painted them yet because I can't decide which would look best. I'm thinking the barn red color...

What are your opinions??

Wow, very impressive. I love to see transformations and would love to see the house pictures too! I'm sure your daughter will be thrilled when she sees it!

Wow! There are so many awesome things in that story...buying and old house and fixing it up...inviting grandma to live with her...mom and dad helping while she's in the service.

I can't decide which is the most wonderful!

I am SOOO thrilled to see people fix up old homes and barns I see so many of them left to fall apart back home, while people move into a 'new' trailer house

(don't get me wrong I understand it it not cost effective to renovate an old home in many rural areas...I just hate to see them fall in).

When she is older and grandma is gone (mine has been gone for a decade and I miss her every day) she is going to be SO GLAD she asked her to move in and spent time with her.

Multi-generational chicken farming. It doesn't get any better than that!
