OK...I've got "before" pics of the house, inside and out. I'm going to have dinner with Granny D. in a little while and I'll take some "after" pics while I'm there and post everything this evening!!

Beautiful job - I just love a red barn.
Thank your daughter for her service - when she returns, the VA has a system of Vet Centers that help combat/theater veterans. The local one is :
Gainesville Vet Center

They also provide family support. As you must know, there is also a big VA Med Center in Gainesville, but this is a good place to start for any questions she may have - it is a small office with mostly veterans as staff, so easy to access.
Oh, and tell her welcome home from all of us when she gets here.
(the VA is my day job!)
 
I have a question for you...in the photos of the "new" barn, would you paint the "header" boards and rafter board white or barn red? I haven't painted them yet because I can't decide which would look best. I'm thinking the barn red color...

I vote barn red, too!

Wow, what a transformation! You did a wonderful job!

What on earth does your daughter do that she was able to afford such an amazing house when she was only 19? I know you said she is in the military, but it couldn't just be from that? I think?

Also, a big Thank You to her for serving. That is awesome :)
