Just looked at the house photos - wow - we restored a 1920s house and I know how much work that is. I also replaced a 60s/70s tub with a antique claw foot -love the look, but I know how difficult that plumbing was to connect, and it took me forever to find an affordable version of the shower curtain rod and shower head.
The kitchen looks great too - cabinets are a good choice and fit in with the era of the house.
I miss my old house, and looking at these photos took me back!
I count myself amoung the very blessed in this world but one thing God did not give me was patience. I could never do something like that for the lack of the fore mentioned.
AHHH MAZING! I can hardly believe it is the same house and barn! You did an absolutely BEAUTIFUL job of both the house and the barn - and won't your daughter be thrilled at the beautiful red barn! Thank you so much for sharing all of your work with us. Blessings on your daughter and her service. What a GREAT Mom you are and how awesome for a 19 year old to start out like this! BRAVO!
I thank everyone for their kind and encouraging comments. I sent this link to Robin and she was awed and humbled by your kindness. She asked me to say "thank you" to everyone and also say that she feels privileged to serve her country.
She will be home in April and take up her senior year at the Univ. of Florida (Go Gators!) and start preparing for her wedding.
Oldtimegator- all I can say is WOW! You did the most incredible job with the house for your daughter, it looks absolutely stunning, like it is right out of a magazine. Your daughter is very lucky to have you as a mom and you are lucky to have her as your daughter. Hoping you all have many happy memories in her new house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
