Hello. We have just finished building our new coop and I wanted to post some pics. The coop is about 4.5 by 2.5 by 2.1 high. Metres or yards same diff. Wire mesh is buried 1 foot into the ground all around the coop because of our local Fox problem. The chooks are released into the yard on a regular basis and head back into the coop around sundown.
Here you can see two of the girls in the compost box. Chooks eat the weed seed and poo in and turn the compost. All we have to do is throw our scraps in the box.
