I have a lady who really wanted some bantam ameraucanas and since I live near the city where people have smaller yards I thought perhaps the smaller chicklets would sell nicely. I loooove my large fowl though. I plan on selling most of the bantams. I had the state inspector come out to inspect for my liscense the other day and he kept saying "You have such beautiful chickens"! I was so tickled

Wife and i candled last night a few look like there developing others are clear we don't expect a 100% hatch from shipped eggs but hopefully we will get enough to start a good silkie breeding flock!!

I have silkies/showgirls going into lockdown tonight.

I also candled over the weekend and tossed 14/16 eggs on a silkies/showgirl mix

Put in 18 showgirls Friday, I hope they had a better trip than the last ones!!

I also have splash marans on day 4. Those suckers are hard to see into. I will NOT be tossing any of them till at least day 10.

The ones we have in the Rcon now looked to be shipped better than our last ones they were all individually wrapped and none were cracked I think its mainly all the movement involved in shipping but here's hoping

You really can't tell with shipped eggs! I received three orders of shipped eggs on the same day. Some BLRW from Brent out of 24 eggs I have 14 going strong Some Welsummers from Ebay out of 12 eggs 9 are going strong. Some Dominiques from Ebay 0 out of 15 - not even one!!!! My orpingtons are doing good

Out of 17 in Lockdown it looks like I will get maybe 13

Some are still hatching soooo

Until they are fluffed and sassy you never know

I might take you up on this in the spring

Deb is sending me some quail eggs and I'll have to keep a whole incubator just for them since the humidity is different
