We recently moved our peacock and hen ( is that the right terminology? I'm new to this ) from a small pen where they were alone, to a large pen where they have several chickens for company. While the peacock was in the smaller pen, he called all the time, but now that he's in with the chickens, he hasnt made a sound. Is he depressed? He seems to feel ok, he's eating and drinking like he always did. We changed his food from hen scratch, which was what his former owner was feeding them, to game bird feed, but he's eating it ok, but I miss his call and I think it must have something to do with his new surroundings. Anyone?
Thanks, Maggie
