Your girls are beauties. I know you are devastated. If we lived closer I would gladly over to take them off your hands. We live in Mississippi and you might want to come check on them. That’s a long way to go for two chickens. And to travel for a checkup visit. I couldn’t free range them too often but we have a huge run and coop for only 9 chickens so far. I haven’t failed at chicken math yet nor gone crazy at becoming addicted yet. I want mine to have plenty of space to enjoy themselves without becoming overcrowded. I live in a rural town. We can have chickens no rules really but I don’t want any problems or bad smells. When I decide which heat tolerant breed I really like the best temperament wise and egg production wise I will get more of them. Until I’m not going to have a rooster or let a hen have chicks. I will be the chicken mama if there is one. I was the one so far to the first nine and they have made it okay so far knock on wood.
