our rooster got attacked

...our rooster got attacked about ten days ago, we don't know what attacked him, but it got his leg pretty good. When it happened we cleaned it and wrapped it to prevent infection. He seemed to be doing pretty good until about three days ago, he has not been wanting to put alot of weight on it. He still runs on it to give his hens some lovin.should we be worried?

I think you're doing the right thing. You may want to try Epsom salt soaks. Maybe he's just using the leg to much being a Romeo! What do you think it is? Is his comb really purple from being a happy boy or is he distressed?
