Our Simple Suburban Living Chicken Coop Build Modified for the Deep Litter Method

We are brand new to keeping chickens. Our local ordinance only allows us to keep 6 hens and 0 Roos. So we felt this design is plenty for our 6 hens on our 1/4 acrea suburban lot. If I had more space I would have likely gone with something bigger. We used the free plans at simplesuburbanliving.com. We did make a few changes to accomodate the deep litter method but mostly we followed the plans. here is a video of the coop with a bit more detail. https://youtu.be/Kob6Ta9c_aI the girls moved in a few months ago and seem to be very happy. I am very please with the way it turned out and would reccommend the design to others looking for ideas.

Any chance of a cost estimate? Not sure where you're located, but I'm going to take a wild guess that it was more than the $490 quoted on the original post from 2014
