Whatcha think? She hasn't flailed around at all since putting her in it!...Not sure how long term a solution it is but we'll see, at least she's comfy!

How often do you think she would take her out of it?...Would putting some spongy material under her help?...The sling is a sock...

Oh that is really cute! I don't know about sores..... I guess you could just check it a couple times a day for now and see if you see any redness or feathers wearing away. What are her legs doing under her? Just out to the side? I am still confused as to what her legs are doing.
Could you do a video of how she is in the sling?
Anyways, good luck! Rooting for you!

I have done that sling once, and the chick actually ENJOYED it after a awhile and really started to fill out. Though, she got so much stronger that she wouldn't stay in it all day and I had to go to work during the day, so believe it or not, I rehomed her to someone who was willing to try and rehabilitate her.
She did start to get sores on her bottom from her poop, so I had to kind of make a hatch so she could poop easily
Are we all nuts?

Thanks so much for posting this, i have been wracking my brain trying to come up with a solution for my guinea chick who was treated right away for a twisted hip- so i need to do something to help him heal
