Our surburban "La Coop D'Etat" is completed

Nice coop! You won't need a ramp for your chicken door. The chicken door in my coop is about 24" off the ground and they jump in instead of using the ramp.

Your coop is awesome!! You will LOVE having a few hens in the backyard. It is so much fun to feed them stale cereal, leftover mac n' cheese and other kitchen goodies. Plus, they will really really LOVE you for the treats!

Neat coop!

Great looking coop, but are you planning on adding hardware cloth on the openings at the top, just under the roof? My chickens would fly out of there in a heart beat.

The open space is for storage, and there is a 1/2" plywood barrier between it and the (fully-enclosed) chicken living space below it. The picture just doesn't show it well.

Okey, dokey. La Coop D'Etat is now complete with signage and its first tenants! My daughters have bestowed the monikers "Lady Spencer" and "Griffina" to our 4-month old Black Rock/Star/Sexlink and Welsummer, respectively.

Oh, and what chicken coop is complete without a sign and a flower planter box?

Close-up of signage.

Now, its just waiting for the hens to start laying!
