Well, its been a seemingly forever wait...but this morning a pleasant surprise in our Coop. Our first egg!

Is that a clamp lamp I see hung up at the front? Do be careful with those. Never rely on just the clamp to hold it up because they often fail, allowing the lamp to fall right into pine shavings = risk of fire.

I had a clamp lamp over a reptile tank that fell and burned a hole in the table top before I noticed the smell. Whew! Close one. I would never have noticed if this had happened outside in a coop.
