Our Sweetest Chicken Passed Away

I'm sad to report that we had to put Gertie (our Light Brahma) to sleep last night. We tried everything we could to help her, but she just got too weak and we didn't want her to suffer. We called her "Sweet Chickens" because she was always so gentle and calm despite her struggles.


We buried her in her favorite spot in the flower garden with a note from us tucked under her wing. She was very warm, sweet and gentle and made us feel good despite all the worries in the news.
