Hi, these are our first chicks, given to us from someone. No idea what breed and we're all guessing that the yellow (now very faint yellow colored one) is a female (kids named her Jaina), and the brownish one is a male (Louis). Will have to take some more pictures because they grow up so fast!! Louis already lost most of the fuzz around his head and has mostly feathers. He's also getting some red under his beak. Tried to get some good pictures, but posing for paparazzi is not something they like to do.
Maybe I'll have the kids hold them while I try & get some close ups.
They're definitely quite the pair. They love to belly bump and try to fly when you let them out to free roam and stick close to each other or "mama." Still a lot of peeping, something that sounds like a cross between cooing & rrrrolling your rrr's, and I could have sworn I heard something that sounded like an attempt at crowing.... Any idea what breed they are?
