My Granddaughter and I ate our very first eggs! One of our 6 pullets, Lady Bug gave us 4 eggs this week. We fried them up this morning,delicious! She surprised us with 2 double yolkers, sadly we broke one. Love sharing the experience with my Granddaughter.
Laying there first egg is always super exciting but sharing with your granddaughter makes even more special. She’ll remember her grandparents have the good eggs. And double yolker already. I think that’s a sign of one happy chicken. I love the pic!

Yes beautiful flavour and very rich dark yolks.
They get bigger with time. The first eggs are always small.
That's probably what she is. She has the white legs and close to the right color pattern.
She used to have black and White tail feathers but they fell out. I see they are slowly growing back.
