Wow what a cool cat. I once had a standard game hen who would battle and fight hawks over her chicks and run them off. I once seen her fly about 25 feet straight up in a tree at a hawk that was just looking at her chicks. I watched both fall and hit the gravel road and roll around for a bit with me running with a brick in my hand to bash the hawks brains out. I kicked it off her as hard as I could and feathers flew everywhere. It landed about 10 feet away and and stumbled a bit with me and my game hen running at it, it flew away. I threw the brick and barely missed. Sadly she tried this on a fox once who just grabbed her and ran off in the woods. The fox came back a couple days later and lets just say he wont be bothering us again. You have a special kitty.
Oh and too all you hawk lovers. I will kick, stomp and bash any predator into in a bloody poo puddle that attacks my pets. I'm not in the business of raiseing them to feed the local wildlife. This is about the only reason I keep a shotgun. Predators should think twice before entering a yard.
