(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes,new to chickens for me and my daughter (husband also never had chickens despite coming from a farm).

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Was supposed to be 7 but when i went to get the 7th that came later it was so long that the other chickens were pretty big so i added 3 more=total is 9!

(3) What breeds do you have? 2 polish, 1 buckeye, 1 amberlink, 1 prarie bluebell, 1 plymouth tock, 1 buff orpington, 1speckled sussex, 1 lavender

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I will have to let you know. So far, watching them-they are hilarious!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? chickens,quilting, bike riding, camping, anything with my daughter!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I work for the government. We have 1 dog, 1 cat and now chickens. My goal is to hobby into a few other animals in time.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D Just happened upon this community-just meant to be perhaps cause i could really use friends with chickens in common.
 
1: I first got chickens in 2018
2: I have 11 chickens now
3: I have 6 seramas, plymoth rocks, marans, wyandottes, olive and easter eggers.
4: yes, watching them and spoiling them, and waiting for new eggs each week
5: guitar playing, writing, biking, fishing, metal detecting, and outdoor survival
6: I work as a vet in NC and I have chickens, a dog, a cat, and my daughter has fish.
7: I found BYC surfing the internet about chicken stuff.
