We had chickens and got a few roosters last year. Well 11of the 17 were roos. So decided to to try our hand at hatching some. Built our own incubator. Put in 18 eggs. On day 20 the first one hatched. Day 21 we had 13 more hatch. I am super impressed in how well things have gone. Kids are over the moon. Just have to figure out how to sex them correctly. Cant wait to hatch the next batch. Have to decide what rooster and chickens we want to use.

We used a styrofoam cooler that food gets shipped in I recessed a piece of plexiglass and a 40w incandescent bulb plugged into a Inkbird ITC-306T Pre-Wired Electronic Heating Thermostat Temperature Controller.

Here are some more incubator pictures.
