Our Wise & Benevolent Flock Leader Has Passed... RIP, Isaac

Oh no, I'm so sorry about Isaac.

I'm glad he had such a wonderful life and owner.

I got chills reading that Isaac has passed away. Sounds like he picked the very nicest day to venture over the rainbow bridge.

I guess I couldn't ask for more for him, other than, of course, that he live with me forever. I can't get the sight of him laying there out of my mind. Even with meds for my headache and to help me sleep, I was awake until after 3 a.m.. Heard a fox do his alarm bark about 10 times in a row around 2:30 a.m. Not a fun night. He went fast and I guess as easy as he could have and thankfully, he won't have to go through another frigid winter with his horrible, painful arthritis with its decreased circulation making him risk frostbite on his feet again. He is buried very close to Suede and maybe LH will make me a marker for Isaac like she did for our Suede. Here is Suede's marker:

This is a very nice marker. Ladyhawk should offer a custom pet grave marker service on your Blue Roo store. I bet it would be a hit. I have a little pet cemetery down by my stone wall marked only with stones, no names. I go there and walk along the little row, saying their names and still shedding a tear years later.

This is at the head of the cemetary that contains Isaac, Suede, Shadow, Sunny & Riley who died the same day for different reasons, Rex, Ellie, Meg, little Jenny (D'anver, neurological problem), Fern and Barbara and a couple of others. I'm not even sure which is which anymore. Hawkeye and Zane and a few others are buried on the other side of the property. I don't bury all of them. It depends on what's happening when they pass. Some bodies were burned, some placed in the woods across the power line easement to become nourishment for other animals, etc. But, my special boys are buried.

Cyn, so so sorry to hear. It's always hard to lose one but being a favorite and unexpected makes it even worse. The only comfort is knowing he went fast and didn't suffer, don't we hope we could all go like that .
