Our yard has fleas

We just realized over last few days that our yard has fleas like the kind you find on dogs and cats.... my question is....

Do they harm chickens? We have 4 week olds that spend time in the yard during the day?

Someone is coming Saturday to treat it, is there anything I should be aware of and they should be aware of?

Just starting out here so any and all pest info is appreciated. I wouldn't want something to happen to them because I should've known.

You should make sure that what they use is safe for chickens. Permethrin would be one.

That's what I wanted to know. I read they eat them but I don't imagine they can help control it thought. But good to know
